Delegates are invited to take part in Flash Presentations, a fast-paced session where presenters have 60 seconds to introduce their research to the room. This event provides a chance to share your work more widely, spark interest, and start new conversations. Delegates who have already presented and those who are still waiting for their scheduled session are all welcome to join.

At an international and interdisciplinary conference, some of the most valuable exchanges begin with a brief introduction. Flash Presentations are designed to make those introductions easier, allowing delegates to make their presentation more visible and connections more memorable. In this fast-paced session, participating delegates have just 60 seconds to introduce their work to the room. The aim is to quickly communicate the central idea of your research: what it explores, why it matters, and what kinds of conversations it might open up.
The session is open to presenters at any stage of the conference. Delegates who have already presented are welcome to take part as a way to reach attendees who may have missed their parallel session, while those still waiting to present can use Flash Presentations as an opportunity to introduce their work in advance and encourage others to attend.
For audience members, Flash Presentations offers a quick and engaging way to discover the range of research taking place across the conference. In a short amount of time, delegates can hear from researchers working across different disciplines, countries, institutions, and perspectives, helping them identify people they may wish to speak with later.
Structure
Flash Presentations should be short, clear, and more casual than regular conference presentations, giving delegates a friendly space to introduce the core idea of their research as well as share what makes it interesting. The goal of this session is to give delegates a second chance to present, to meet and engage with other presenters, and invite further conversation during the conference.
Presenters will not use slides.
After 60 seconds, a bell will ring and the session will move immediately to the next presenter. Presentations will continue on a first-come, first-served basis until the session time has finished.
How to Participate
Simply attend the session at the designated time. Participation in Flash Presentation sessions will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Presentations will continue until the session time has ended.
