Classroom teaching and learning quality has emerged as an important issue in the private universities in Bangladesh along with growing use of technology in the classroom teaching learning processes. Though a good number of private universities use different technologies in the process of classroom teaching and learning there is a little empirical study about the actual impacts of the technology in quality enhancement of teaching and learning This proposed study seeks to identify the current status of use of technology at tertiary education in Bangladesh and also its role in the process of quality enhancement of teaching and learning. This study is quantitative in nature. Data was collected from 268 undergraduate students in different private universities through a structured questionnaire. The correlations and multiple regression analysis were applied to determine relationship among technology use, teaching quality, and student learning outcomes. The findings revealed that technology integration makes higher teaching quality (β = 0.42, p & 0.01) and student engagement (β = 0.37, p & 0.01). Student satisfaction was also found to be significantly higher when they experienced technology integrated classroom. However, teaching quality using technology in the classroom is contingent on instructor's technical skills and teaching techniques. It concludes that technology helps better classroom teaching when institutional support and trainer's technical skills are in place. This study offers practical implications to improve quality of higher education in Bangladesh.
